Profile

Dr Sue Jackson is the Postgraduate Skills Coordinator for the School of Technology and works closely with the School's Faculties and Departments to co-ordinate skills training activities, contributing to their design, delivery and evaluation. Working with the School Office and the Graduate Development Programme in the Centre for Personal and Professional Development she also plays a key role in developing the School's Transferable Skills strategy in the longer term.

Sue read Natural Sciences at Cambridge followed by a PhD in Materials Science. She is a Chartered Engineer, having worked for nine years at The Welding Institute (TWI) and has worked in the University in various roles since 1990, most recently as Executive Secretary of Cambridge Environment Initiatives and as a Senior Research Associate in the Centre for Applied Research in Educational Technology (CARET). She is a Fellow of Lucy Cavendish College where she has been both an undergraduate and graduate tutor.
