Transforming women's life and work

Accommodation

Lucy Cavendish College accommodates all students for the duration of their courses; with some accommodation being provided on site among the beautiful and peaceful college grounds, or else in houses situated within walking distance of the main campus. The College also does its best to help students in special circumstances find couples' or family accommodation, in college-owned buildings or elsewhere.

Accommodation both on- and off-site is of high quality, offering students a choice between modern study / bedrooms with en-suite facilities, or larger rooms in Victorian houses or small groups of flats with shared facilities. All rooms have internet access provided and maintained by the College. Their proximity to College makes it possible for students to easily visit College for meals, or to socialise and relax in the Oldham Hall bar / conservatory, or work in the library or computer rooms. While there are also good self-catering facilities available in all accommodation - usually a kitchen shared between two or more students.

The College's ideal location makes it convenient for easy access to many Departments; Lucy Cavendish College is just a short walk away from the Cambridge University 'West Site', the Maths Faculty, Vet School, Cavendish Laboratory and Computer Labs, the Faculties of English, Law, Modern and Medieval Languages, History, the Bio-medical departments and many others, while also just being a short walk from Cambridge city centre.

Full information on accommodation and the rents per location can be found on the dedicated accommodation webpages on this website.
