Welcome to the fourth issue of Nautilus

Welcome to the 4th edition of Nautilus. We hope that you are enjoying our online newsletter. We've had some good feedback and we will continue to bring you regular news of Lucy Cavendish alumnae, as well as keeping you updated with events at college.

We have some exciting events lined up for this special year, most especially the 1960s themed Super Garden Party on Sunday 14th June and our alumnae weekend at the end of September. You will also see that we have arranged a guided tour of the Fashion Collection at the Victoria and Albert Museum in April, which promises to be very interesting and a way of meeting other alumnae.

As part of our anniversary celebrations the College is mounting an exhibition of photos to record the personal 'Lucy Memories' of those who have had contact with the College over the years, to be exhibited at the Super Garden Party. We are also hoping to run a vintage clothes stall. If you have any pictures that you would like to share or vintage clothing that you would like to donate, please send them to the Development Office. Volunteers are also needed to help mount the photo display and the Alumnae Association would welcome helpers at the Super Garden Party, so if you would like to join in please contact the Development Office to offer your services.

The Alumnae Association would also like to hear about any objects that have a significant place in your personal 'Lucy Memories' , perhaps your bike, a picture or ornament in college or something that conjures up your supervisor’s room. If you can send a few lines about these to the Development Office, we will publish them in the Easter Term Nautilus.

We will all be sad to say goodbye to our President, Janet Todd, who has contributed so much to the College during her tenure. There will be an opportunity to bid farewell to Professor Todd at the Super Garden Party and we are sure that many alumnae will want to share in this experience.

We have another farewell at the end of April, when our Development Director, Caroline Sier, leaves college to take up her new role at the Sainsbury Centre in Norwich. Caroline has been a great supporter of the Alumnae Association and we will miss her hugely.

We hope to meet even more of our alumnae during this special anniversary year and we would be very happy to receive your news and any feedback you’d care to give us.
