Alumnae Weekend

As part of the University-wide Alumni Festival Lucy Cavendish is organising a number of events for alumnae.

Friday 23rd September

Older and wiser: how women over 50 are making their mark - Newnham College, 4pm - 5.45pm

Once again, Lucy Cavendish is collaborating with Murray Edwards and Newnham on a special event entitled 'Older and wiser: how women over 50 are making their mark'. President of Lucy Cavendish, Jackie Ashley, will take to the stage along with Professor Dame Carol Black (Newnham) and Dame Barbara Stocking (Murray Edwards) to share their own personal experiences and will be joined by alumnae who have made equally interesting decisions. Suzanne McCarthy will accompany the panel, as an alumna of Lucy Cavendish. The audience is encouraged to contribute their own thoughts and views to the discussion.

Unfortunately this event has now sold out.

Saturday 24th September

Vice-Chancellor's Panel Discussion, 2.30pm - 3.30pm

Part of the University Alumni Festival programme, Jackie Ashley will chair the Vice-Chancellor's panel discussion at Lady Mitchell Hall. The focus of the discussion will be surrounding ‘Innovation in Education’, and asks the question ‘How can we influence positive change?’. In addition to the Vice-Chancellor, David Whitebread (Faculty of Education), Sarah Wood (Co-Founder and Co-CEO at Unruly) and James Biddulph (Headmaster of the University of Cambridge Primary School) will be on the panel. Find out more.

Lucy Cavendish Alumnae Association AGM, 5pm - 6.30pm

All alumnae are invited to attend the AGM of the Alumnae Association. Attendees will elect a new President and Secretary during the meeting. There will also be the opportunity for people to put themselves forward to join one of the Alumnae Association's subcommittees.

This is your opportunity to find out more about what the Alumnae Association does and how you can get involved. If you are interested in standing for election at the AGM, find out more about the purpose and structure of the Committee here.
