Re-evaluating the Writing of Elizabeth von Arnim

Location: Lucy Cavendish College

Date(s): Sun 13 September - Sun 13 September

Time: 9:00 - 5:00

Event Details:

Lucy Cavendish College will host a conference to explore and re-evaluate the work of Elizabeth von Arnim (1866-1941).

Elizabeth von Arnim’s complex, intelligent and witty novels were critically acclaimed and immensely popular during her lifetime. However, until recently they have received little academic attention.

This conference aims to shed fresh light on the contemporary contexts of von Arnim’s work and the literary hierarchies and values that have shaped her reputation.

Call for papers - deadline the 2nd March 2015.
