We would like to draw your attention to several events happening over the coming months which will be of special interest to our alumnae community.

1960s Formal Hall, with special invitations to alumnae – Friday 13th March

Join us for a special 1960s themed Formal Hall in honour of Lucy Cavendish College’s founding decade. The Formal Hall will be an opportunity for alumnae to catch up with friends from College whilst enjoying a three course dinner with wine in Warburton Hall. There will be tables reserved especially for alumnae, with the chance to mix with current students during the pre-dinner drinks reception. You can book your tickets here, or please contact Kate Newman (Finance Manager) on kn242[at] if you have any queries.

Super Garden Party – Sunday 14th June

To celebrate our 50th anniversary and to bid farewell to Professor Janet Todd we are planning a ‘Super’ Garden Party this summer. Among other things, the Alumnae Association will be organising decorated bikes, with both children’s and adult’s categories, as well as the ever-popular ‘Guess the weight of the cake’ competition. Family and friends of alumnae are very warmly invited and it would be lovely to see as many of you there as possible - book your tickets here.

As part of the Super Garden Party we are creating a display of old photos and memories from times gone by at College. We would love to receive copies of any photos you have from your time here. Please send these to Isobel Maddison at ijm22[at] If you would like to help create the display itself please do let Isobel know.

This Alumni Festival offers the chance to get to know our incoming president, Ms Jackie Ashley, over an informal buffet lunch on Sunday. The lunch will follow the AGM of the Lucy Cavendish College Alumnae Association – do please attend the meeting beforehand if you would like to know any more about the Association.
