graduates

Around half of the students at Lucy Cavendish are graduates, so you will find a genuine graduate community here: and one which is intimate enough for all students to know each other. Moreover graduates and undergraduates are not separated by age and life experience as they are in other colleges and universities which helps to create a vibrant and inclusive college environment with plenty to do socially.

Lucy Cavendish graduate students come from all over the world. Everyone enjoys the informality of Lucy life: students and fellows regularly meet over lunch or dinner and guests (of both sexes) are always very welcome. Partners, in particular, are encouraged to join social activities and come to graduate meetings.

"Colleges play a huge role in the lives of students, especially in the beginning, when they help you organise your studying and settling in processes. Being very international, my college has provided everyone with support and cultural understanding" Tatiana, MPhil, Land Economy

The college is proud of the support it can offer to students. There is a well-established graduate programme of workshops, meetings and seminars within which students can build their research; and there are excellent Graduate Tutors on hand to help with personal matters. Financial support is provided by a dedicated Student Finance Officer, and there are a number of studentships and grants. In addition students are members of the College Students' Union which takes any concerns voiced by them directly to the Governing Body.
