Graduate Tutors

Orsola Rath Spivack
Orsola is an applied mathematician. Her current work in the Faculty of Mathematics involves teaching and examining for courses on wave scattering and the Part II Computational Projects (CATAM), and research concentrating on underwater acoustics and scattering in random media. At Lucy Cavendish, she is responsible for graduate admissions and for the welfare of all graduate students. She also organises a number of graduate workshops and seminars, and is keen to support all manners of graduate activities and interaction between graduate students and fellows.

Tutorial hours are Tuesday 5:00pm - 6:00pm and Friday 11:30am - 12:30pm.

Allison Curry
Assistant Graduate Tutor. Allison is a Senior Research Associate in the Department of Surgery. She is currently working on the immune mechanisms involved in transplant rejection, and has also a strong research interest in parasitology, particularly tropical diseases. At Lucy, she is Admission Tutor for Medicine, as well as Assistant Graduate Tutor. She has been instrumental in the development of transferable skills workshops, particularly those aimed at MPhil students and the demands of their very intensive one year courses.

Tutorial hours are Wednesday 5:00pm - 6:00pm and Friday 2:00pm - 3:00pm.

Sue Brindley
Sue Brindley is a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Education where she co-ordinates the Researching Practice MEd, leads the development of an International Masters in Education and co-ordinates blended learning across the Faculty. Her subject background is English and she researches in Teacher Acquisition of Professional Knowledge. At Lucy Cavendish, she is a Fellow and Assistant Graduate Tutor. Sue enjoys supporting graduate students across a range of subject areas and is particularly interested in ensuring graduate students are active in belonging to the lively community of Masters and Doctorate students in College.

Tutorial hours are Friday 11:00am - 1:00pm.
