At Lucy Cavendish College there are:

  • students studying for a first undergraduate degree at any age (from 21)
  • students who are undertaking a second undergraduate degree

Lucy Cavendish College is for outstanding women of all ages from every walk of life. Our student community is made up of school-leavers who have taken a short time out before applying to university; highly successful women wanting a change of professional direction; and women who have always wanted to study their chosen subject but have not until now found the time. We offer exceptional academic support, and a close-knit community of students all of whom, like you, have chosen to come to Cambridge at a time in their lives that best suits them.

At Lucy Cavendish we have two Admissions rounds: one in October and one - for certain subjects only - in March. For further information you can make an enquiry via our website, by email at lcc-admissions@lists.cam.ac.uk, or by calling 01223 330280.

"Recent research has shown that mature women in our national universities feel alone and unsupported, and suggests that if there were a space in universities where mature women students could gather to compare notes about university life, talk about their work, support each other and laugh, these students would be happier, healthier and more successful. Lucy Cavendish is the only College in the country to provide that unique space for women students."
