Our development work is focussed on delivering the resources necessary for the future so that we can continue to advance and to excel as a College and as individual students, teachers and researchers. All of our work is focussed around the Three Funds set out below: the funds for teaching, for students and for the learning environment. Please click on the other links for more details on these various areas of our work.

The Fund for the Learning Environment: college is home as well as the place in which to learn, study, and share academic and social lives. Our site is welcoming and our grounds are beautiful. The Library is at the heart of the academic community, and our student facilities provide the natural meeting place where students seek each other out and foster the essential companionship and support which they need, not despite but because of their multi-faceted lives and experiences.

The Fund for Students: we offer support through close attention to the particular circumstances of each woman. Many students come to us having taken a break from learning in a formal environment; others have families; others have decided to change the direction of their career path and are pursuing further study. We offer advice and an extensive Induction Programme for new students. We also have research and travel funds for students and childcare bursaries.
The Fund for Teaching: small group teaching is the core of a Cambridge education. At Lucy Cavendish we tailor our teaching to the particular needs of mature students and the breadth of their experiences and ideas informs their studies. Here at Lucy Cavendish we are determined to employ dedicated College Lecturers. Our four most popular subjects are Medicine, Law, English and PPS (Politics, Psychology and Sociology). The Fund for Teaching also covers the cost of supervisions, sabbatical costs and Research Fellowships.
