Graduation Information

Lucy Cavendish College degrees are conferred by the University at a ceremony which takes place in the Senate House. This ceremony is called a congregation. Students eligible to graduate (Graduands) are presented to the Vice-Chancellor (or her deputy) by Henriette Hendriks, Lucy Cavendish College's Praelector. In keeping with tradition, the ceremony is conducted mostly in Latin (although graduands themselves do not have to speak during the ceremony).

To book your graduation you must make an application to Sarah Thomas by email st420@cam.ac.uk well in advance of your intended date of congregation. This applies whether you graduate 'in person' or 'in absence'.
