All Applicants

You must apply through the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS) online using UCAS Apply.

  • Campus code for Lucy Cavendish is L

Once your UCAS application has been received, all applicants (except for the Cambridge Graduate Course in Medicine) will be sent an email requesting completion of the online Supplementary Application Questionnaire (SAQ). You must submit your SAQ by the deadline specified in this email.

Applicants for the Cambridge Graduate Course in Medicine need to return an additional form, available from our Admissions Office, at the same time as the UCAS application. You will not need to complete the online SAQ.

Additional Documents Required to Support your Application

  • Copies of certificates for all academic qualifications at GCSE level, or equivalent, and above
  • Transcripts relating to any complete, or partially complete, university study
  • Applicants enrolled on Access Diplomas, Open University modules, Foundation Years and Certificates in Higher Education are invited to provide a detailed course syllabus
  • Applicants for the subjects listed below must supply copies of two essays, of any length, produced in the normal course of your studies, and marked by a tutor or teacher. We will provide further guidance on the requirements for this written work, and a coversheet, on receipt of your application.

Students Living or Studying Outside the EU

  • The Cambridge Online Preliminary Application (COPA) is for students currently living or studying outside the UK and EU. This does not apply if your family home is outside the EU, but you are studying within the EU at time of application. You should wait until you receive a COPA reference number before uploading transcripts.​
  • Copies of all relevant certificates and transcripts, with a certified translation should be sent to our Admissions Office by email, or uploaded as part of your SAQ.

Extenuating Circumstances

Applicants whose education has been significantly disrupted or disadvantaged for health or personal reasons may also wish to submit an Extenuating Circumstances Form.

Lucy Cavendish Requirements for Admissions Assessments

Prior to Interview

  • Medicine (A100) applicants must sit the Bio-Medical Admissions Test (BMAT)
  • Veterinary Medicine (D100) applicants must sit the NSAA
  • All other subjects - no assessment prior to interview

At Interview

  • A written assessment lasting at least one hour. Examples of assessments can be found via the Course Listing page on the Cambridge University website.
