Dear Alumnae,

Welcome to the Alumnae section of the website. Although your studies at Lucy Cavendish College may be finished, you will continue to be a life member of our college community.  We hope you will stay in touch and participate in our wide range of alumnae events.

Each term we circulate a newsletter, Nautilus, to our alumnae and in order to receive it you need to ensure that you inform the College Development Office of changes to your email address. We love to receive news of our alumnae, so please keep us updated on what you are doing. You can also send in articles for the newsletter, either to the Development Office or to the President of the Alumnae Association. Contact details and back editions of Nautilus are on the College website.

During the year we organise outings in the Cambridge area and in London, for alumnae, their partners and friends. These may include visits to parts of the University which are not always accessible to students or the public, guided tours around museums and galleries, theatre visits and social events in College. Our events are an ideal opportunity to catch up with old friends or meet new people.

The Garden Party in June is another annual event where college members can return with their families. The Alumnae Association runs attractions there each year, so please come along and introduce yourself to us.

During the University’s Alumni Festival Weekend, which takes place every year in late September lots of events take place across Cambridge. Check out the events programme on the University website. Lucy Cavendish College also emails all alumnae with information about the events that are organised that weekend specifically for our alumnae.

Other alumnae benefits include your own free email-for-life forwarding service You are also entitled to a CAMCard, giving you membership to the University Centre and free entrance for you and up to three guests to visit most of the Colleges and King's College Chapel (check the University website for details). There are also discounts on offer from Heffers and Heffers online, Scudamores punts and many Cambridge restaurants, hotels and businesses.  Contact the Cambridge Alumni Relations Office to claim your card and start enjoying the benefits it brings:

If you are in Cambridge, why not come to a Formal Hall at Lucy Cavendish?  Subject area dinners are held throughout the year and bookings can be made in the usual way by visiting the Lucy Cavendish website and clicking on to Formal Hall. Many of our alumnae organise their own small reunions with friends, and a Formal Hall dinner is an ideal place to meet up. The College also provides a programme of speakers at 6pm on many Thursdays before Formal Hall dinners, so check the website for details.

We look forward to seeing you at one of our events soon.

With very best wishes for the future,

Judith Roberts
