Amy Spencer lives in Bristol where she teaches creative writing. She holds a PhD from the Centre for Cultural Studies at Goldsmiths where her research focused on collaborative authorship in digital literature. She is the author of DIY: The Rise of Lo-Fi Culture (2005, 2008) and The Crafter Culture Handbook (2007). London Clay is her first novel. Her writing has been supported by an award from the Oppenheim-Johns Downes Memorial Fund and a place on the South-West Writers Mentoring Scheme funded by the Arts Council.
