Our combined Football Team 'Cavendish-Christ-Churchill' won the semi-final of the Plate with a score of 7-1 against Trinity College last weekend. This means they have qualified to play in the Plate Finals on 10 March.
The team is currently top of the second division of the Cambridge University College Women's Football League and participates in the Plate games, which it won last year. The Cambridge University Association Football League (CUAFL) is the primary league for college football. It involves approximately 900 players, with 58 teams competing across six divisions and four cup competitions - the highest participation of any sport at the university. Merging with other colleges provides our players with a great opportunity to mix with new people and to share resources and the team meets for weekly games, training and social activities.

"We are very happy that we have reached our goal to get into the finals. I think that if we stay focused we have a good chance of winning but either way it will definitely be very exciting game to play and to watch!"
The finals will take place on 10 March and the venue is still to be announced (watch this space). Entrance is free, and no tickets necessary so please just show up on the day to cheer our players on to victory!
