The Lucy Writers’ Platform is a website devoted to showcasing the work of women writers and creatives, founded by alumna Hannah Hutchings-Georgiou (English, 2008).

Hannah writes:

We aim to challenge and change the culture around online journalism and writing. We want to provide a safe, inclusive and inspiring space for our writers and artists. We believe that, irrespective of where you’re at in your career, all writers should have a place to explore and develop their creative voice. We want to be that place, room and home for your words.

Whether you’re an established, out-of-practice or new-to-the-writing-desk kind of writer, we want to hear from you! Our current theme is on ‘Kooky, Funky, Radical Women’, with a special emphasis on those figures and groups that are not traditionally held up by feminist historians and critics (real figures such as Valerie Solanas; mythical ones like Medea and Circe). But we also encourage writers to pitch ideas and submit work that lies outside of this theme.

We’re keen to hear your ideas, pitches and submissions. We also have a strong review editorial section on the arts and welcome new reviewers. See our Submissions and Contact page for more information about our current theme or write to us on lucywritersplatformlcc@gmail.com
